To see Wi-Fi passwords on an Android device, navigate to the Settings, go to the Wi-Fi section, and select the connected network. From here you can see a QR code and the Wi-Fi password. Samsung devices require some extra steps.

Wi-Fi passwords are passed around like currency. Thankfully, most Android devices make it easy to see the password of your current and saved networks. We’ll show you how to find Wi-Fi passwords and share them between Android and iPhone.

How to View Wi-Fi Passwords on Android

Android makes it very easy to view the saved password of the Wi-Fi network you’re using—unless you have a Samsung Galaxy device. The steps in this section apply to Google Pixel and most other non-Samsung Android devices.

First, swipe down from the top of the screen once or twice to reveal the full Quick Settings panel. Tap the gear icon to open the Settings.

Next, tap “Network & Internet.”

That’s all there is to it! You now have the Wi-Fi password in text. This same method applies to any network you have previously connected to as well. You can find them under “Saved Networks” on the “Internet” page.

How to Find Wi-Fi Passwords on Samsung Galaxy Devices

Viewing Wi-Fi passwords on Samsung Galaxy devices is a little more difficult than other Android devices. We’ll need to use Google Photos’ built-in Google Lens feature to do it.

First, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification shade and tap the gear icon.

Next, go to “Connections.”

Go to

Select “Wi-Fi” at the top of the screen.

How to Share Wi-Fi Password From iPhone to Android

Unfortunately, it’s not as easy to share a Wi-Fi password from an iPhone as it is from an Android phone. It’s easy to see the Wi-Fi password—which may be all you need—but there isn’t a built-in feature for creating an easily scannable QR code. To do that, we’ll need to utilize an iPhone Shortcut called “QR Your Wi-Fi.”

First, open the “Shortcuts” app on your iPhone and go to the “Gallery” tab.

Open the Shortcuts app and go to the
